None Of The Above was formed in 1991 by guitarist Harry Somers and fellow members of UMIST's RnB Soc in Manchester.
There have been quite a few changes of personnel over the years, but Harry and drummer Lee have been playing together since 1998, and bassist Kev joined in 2003. Lead guitarist Greg is the "newest" member of the band, joining in 2008.
NOTA have mainly been a covers band, and have always taken pride in offering a very varied set list.
Harry is the elder statesman, possibly even older than he looks. He plays rhythm guitar and sax, and hand
les most of the lead vocals. His main influences and favourite bands are all the 60s British bands, especially Beatles and Stones, as well as Pink Floyd, JJ Cale, Doors, Steely Dan, Weather Report. Favourite album ever? Too close to call between Dark Side of the Moon and Revolver (or maybe Abbey Road?), though Cant Buy A Thrill (Steely Dan), Court and Spark (Joni Mitchell) and Solid Air (John Martyn) all deserve a mention. And 416 Ocean Boulevard (Clapton).
Harry plays a Gibson ES335 semi-acoustic through a Fender Champion 40 amp. Back-up guitar is a Telecaster. For the sax parts he plays a Yanagisawa 991 tenor sax. He's got sop, alto and bari at home, but feels he has enough kit to lug around without bringing these along too. Harry also plays guitar and sax in the tribute band Pinked Floyd (along with Lee). That's when he's not traipsing all over the country watching Everton home and away.
Greg is the baby of the team. He plays lead guitar and provides backing (and sometimes lead) vocals. His influences are
The Who, Joe Satriani, Santana, Jeff 
Beck, Van Halen, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jimi Hendrix. His favourite albums are Quadrophenia, The Extremist (Satriani), Rage Against The Machine, Transformer (Lou Reed), Culture Clash (Aristocrats), Blood Sugar Sex Magik (Peppers) and Overnite Sensation (Zappa).
Greg plays Stormshadow guitars including one custom-made, through Blackstar and Marshall amps. He has loads of weird pedals that make duck-type quack noises. Besides that he (along with Kev) is in a covers band called Uncovered, and occasionally his own band Johari Window (which also features Lee and Kev) playing mostly originals written by Greg. While he is in training to be a full-time Rock God he is a tutor at Bridge College, and also gives guitar lessons. Greg's a big footy fan and follows Man United.
Lee plays drums in the band. His five favourite drummers are Mitch Mitchell, Abe Cunningham, Nicko McBrain
, Nick Mason and Chad Smith.
His drum kit is a Tama Bubingha, which is an African Hardwood. His snare is a Jara wood Brady snare made from a unique tree found only in certain parts of the Australian outback. Impressed? ... you should be, this is proper nice gear.... If you wannna hear it, come and see us, but don't think about touching it or even looking at it for more than a few seconds at a time! Lee is also in Pinked Floyd, along with Harry, and in a Pixies tribute band called Hey Pixies.
Kev is the bassist in the band (and occasional backing vocalist). He started playing bass many years ago after learning double bass at school. His first influences were Chris Squire and Mel Schacher (Grand Funk). Squire's sound is just something else! He could go on endlessly about favourite bands / musicians but limitting it the main ones it's Jaco, Weather Report, The Vaccines, The Courteeners, Black Stone Cherry, The Aristocrats. In terms of bassists: Jaco, Chris Squire, Tal Wilkenfeld, Stanley Clarke, and Ron Carter. 
Kev plays Fender Jazz basses. He has 3 - an American Deluxe (sunburst), an American Standard (black) and a Jaco fretless. They are all beautiful and have their own characters and uses. He has been tempted recently by Precisions but has not yet found one to buy - only a matter of time though! He bought an Ampeg SVT II some years ago with the 4 x 10 SVT HLF cab which are fantastic but there were times when it was not loud enough so he bought a Laney Nexus all tube to go through the Ampeg cab which works really well too. Besides NOTA, Kev plays with Greg in Uncovered, and in Greg's originals band (also with Lee) Johari Window.
